If you are after a quiet location, comfortable rooms and exceptional breakfasts, our 4 Star Silver Award accommodation is the ideal place for your short break in the Lake District. We are only a short walk of less than 15 minutes to the Lake and 2 minutes into Windermere town.All of our 8 en-suite rooms comprise of 2 kingsize bedded rooms, 2 double bedded rooms, a twin, a flexible family room and for the single traveler, 2 single bedded rooms. All have a TV, beverage tray, bathroom amenities, hair dryer, Egyptian cotton towels and other home comforts to compliment your stay. Our breakfast menu uses award winning hand made sausages, locally cured bacon and free range eggs. For those with a lighter taste, we have smoked salmon with scrambled egg, Eggs Benedict, croissant and pancakes topped with forest fruits and yoghurt. The buffet table has a large selection of cereals fresh fruit yoghurts, marmalades, and there is a choice of tea and coffee. By prior arrangement we can cater for those on special diets. There is a guests lounge which has an array of books and guides on the Lake District and the activities and attractions that can be found here. There is ample free parking outside the house plus our own small car park. We are totally non-smoking. From M6 J36 follow signs to Kendal. Pick up signs to Windermere. In Windermere turn left at the Nat West Bank. Follow one way system towards Bowness. Turn left into Brook Road. Top of Road turn right. Oldfield Road is on the left
