Our AA 4-star Victorian guest house for over18s is in the heart of Windermere and Bowness. We offer free Wi-Fi. Situated centrally between Windermere and Bowness on Windermere, we are an ideal base for exploring the Lakes and Fells of the National Park with Lake Windermere a few minutes' walk down the hill. We are within walking distance of the Beatrix Potter attraction and within easy access to ferry nab where you can cross the lake to Beatrix's house. We are only a mile from Windermere train station. If you are approaching from the South come off the M6 at junction 36 and follow the sign to Kendal and South Lakes. If you are approaching from the North come off the M6 at junction 37 and head for Kendal.Once in Windermere take the first left following the signs to Windermere and Bowness. After passing through Windermere village, turn left down on New Road this leads to Lake Road, you will shortly pass a stone clock and a modern looking church on your left. After the zebra crossing and just before the police station turn left into Thornbarrow Road. Invergarry is at number 3.
