Haisthorpe House is a picturesque three-storey former gentleman's residence built in 1897, which has been tastefully converted into a Quality Cumbria Accommodation provider offering excellent quality bed and breakfast accommodation.The guest house is situated in a secluded yet central area of Windermere, the heart of the English Lake District. It is only a few minutes walk from the village centre, local restaurants and the picturesque Lake Windermere itself. It is also an ideal base for touring and walking holidays, or for simply taking in the beautiful Cumbrian scenery.We provide a warm and friendly welcome. A relaxed atmosphere awaits you at the guest house, where a high standard of hospitality and cleanliness will ensure your stay at Haisthorpe House is an enjoyable and memorable one. A daily housekeeping service is provided on request. Private parking is available at the rear of the building or in the bays at the front of the house.Rooms at Haisthorpe House are available to reserve on a ROOM ONLY basis. On request, for an added extra charge which is payable on departure, we can cater for guests requiring a cooked breakfast and offer a variety of options, including vegetarian, which can be booked in advance throughout your stay. Breakfast is served in our Dining Room between 8.30am and 9.30am every day.In addition, for a small extra charge, Haisthorpe House offers all its guests use of the leisure facilities based at the nearby Old England Hotel. Directions

From the South - leave the M6 motorway at junction 36 and follow the A591 to Windermere. When you reach the village turn left opposite the 'Windermere Hotel' where it says 'Town Centre', follow the one way system and after you leave it take the second left into 'Ellerthwaite Road' (Ellerthwaite Lodge Hotel on corner) then take the first left into 'Holly Road' and we are about 100 yards along on the right.From the North - leave the M6 motorway at junction 40 and follow the A66 in the direction of Keswick. After about 1 mile turn left at a roundabout towards Windermere, follow the signs to Windermere passing alongside Ullswater and through Glennridding then over the Kirkstone Pass and down into Windermere. You will reach Windermere at a mini-roundabout where you turn left, after about 12 mile take a right turn into the town centre (Rockside Guest House on far right hand side corner). You will join the one way system and then follow the directions above.The train and coachbus stations are just a ten minute walk away
