Located in a quiet corner of Windermere village it makes the ideal base for enjoying the fabulous Lake District whether you want to relax and take in the spectacle, explore the fells or enjoy a meal in the numerous pubs and restaurants. We are only a five minutes walk to Windermere village, ten minutes walk to Bowness village and fifteen minutes to Lake Windermere. Windermere train station is a short taxi drive or fifteen minutes on foot. We have private parking for all our guests and a secluded garden. To find Chestnuts Guest House in Windermere, turn off the A591 which you will then enter Windermere village you will almost immediately enter a one way system at the end of the one way system is a Pelican crossing, if you count the turnings on the left we are the fourth junction on the left then immediately on the right ,we are just there on the right
