Naturally we include a delicious and locally sourced breakfast: as part of your stay which includes: cereals, fruit, yogurt, juices, local free range eggs, PINKS award winning bacon and Cumberland sausage (with vegetarian alternatives), mushrooms, tomatoes and toast and a large range of teas or freshly ground coffee . Sandown location is ideal as it is very central yet set on the edge of the village so is a quiet location, but all the more pleasant for a stroll to the Lake or village at any time of the day. If you are celebrating something special eg birthdays, engagements, anniversary etc we are happy to arrange champagne, chocolates, balloons, flowers etc for you so please ring or e-mail us and we will be happy to help. We can also recommend local places of interest to visit during your stay, such as Bowness Pier, and the charming town of Bowness, which has plenty of character pubs, restaurants and cafes; to walking the fells and lakes, a round of golf, horse riding, mountain biking, off-roading, cruising on any of the Lakes, fishing, or visiting the many beautiful stately homes, gardens, safari parks and lakeside steam trains to be found in the Lake District. And we have all the OS and roads maps and walking books which you are very welcome to borrow. If you are a keen cyclist we are able to securely store any bikes overnight please just ask on arrival. From the moment you arrive at Sandown Guest House you will be made to feel at home to relax, unwind and enjoy.
